Please Meet: Patrice

Every week leading up to the 3rd Annual Little Black Dress Night, we’ll feature a member of Young Women’s Leadership Society. This week, we’re featuring Patrice, a brilliant and creative ChiTech senior.

Patrice is a senior at ChiTech Academy. She originally enrolled because the school had a good reputation. Being a YWLS member has taught Patrice how to better herself as a woman and think positively. She encourages other young women to join because the club prepares members for the real world, and because of the friendships made and the support system in place. Her favorite YWLS memory was when a makeup artist came to the school to show the club how to apply makeup.

Hardworking, supportive and determined, Patrice plans to attend Jackson State University after graduating from ChiTech to study mortuary science. Patrice’s friends consider her funny, understanding and caring. Her role model is YWLS co-sponsor and Director of School Culture and Climate, Tiara Wheatley, because she is successful and encourages Patrice to make good decisions. Patrice is a bookworm who enjoys urban novels and lives on the West Side of Chicago.
