Inside Chicago Tech’s Biggest Event Supporting Women in Tech

It was a night to remember. 365 of Chicago’s most influential women and men in tech and entrepreneurship gathered on May 11, 2017 to celebrate the success of women in STEM.

Chicago Tech Academy was proud to be invited back to CNA’s offices to host the 3rd Annual Little Black Dress Night. Featured panelists at the event embodied the pioneer spirit, leadership, and grit that ChiTech’s Young Women’s Leadership Society cultivates. These extraordinary stories by a group of diverse women innovators inspired and exposed students and guests to the many routes leading to success.

“At ChiTech, it’s our mission to prepare students for technology-related careers through hands-on courses and connections with Chicago’s leading tech pioneers,” said Tiara Wheatley, co-moderator of YWLS and ChiTech’s Director of School Culture and Climate. “CNA’s commitment to inclusion and diversity in STEM greatly impacts our young women. In fact, the members of YWLS look forward to this event each year and use it as inspiration in mapping out their own ambitions, college, and career goals.”
